How the life path number is calculated

The life path number is one of the most stable numbers in numerology - it never changes over your lifetime, because it depends only on your date of birth. The method is straightforward: take every digit of your full birth date, day, month and year, and add them together until one digit remains. For example, for 23 August 1990: 2+3+0+8+1+9+9+0=32, then 3+2=5. The life path number is 5.

There's one exception: if any step of the addition lands on 11, 22 or 33, that sum stops being reduced further - these are master numbers, and they carry their own, more intense meaning. A birth date whose digits add up to 22, for instance, gives a life path of 22, not 4.
